Our Clients

More often than not, it is a multitude of reasons that can bring someone to counselling.  People usually seek counselling because they feel distressed as a consequence to a traumatic or stressful experience, a difficult upbringing, loss or bereavement. Some are simply in psychological pain for whatever reason.  Sometimes clients' behaviour is affecting their close relationships and this motivates them to have counselling.  For others, it's the external circumstances that are causing their distress, such as their job, finances, family or relationships.

Support from friends and family is not always helpful, or you may not be able to discuss the issue with anyone, and so are unable to share a burden or problem which can be a very lonely place.  Most of our clients self-refer to our service, however, we do accept referrals with your consent by organisations or other health practitioners.  We offer an hour long free initial counselling session, with no obligation, then you can decide for yourself whether you find it helpful or not.   Stigma can prevent some people from asking for help and this is why we provide a fully confidential and discreet, privately-run service.
