Couples therapy
Couples therapy can help in situations where communication and/or trust have broken down and, although you both want to be in a relationship together, you’re struggling to move forward on your own.
The couples counsellor aims to create a therapeutic atmosphere in which both people feel safe enough to share what they genuinely think and feel. The therapist’s role is to actively facilitate the dialogue during the sessions and help couples improve their communication skills, whilst remaining impartial.
Over time, a series of sessions can give you the opportunity to ‘clear the air’, improve your relating and create a more fulfilling relationship.
